Fixstars Amplify Adds US-based IonQ’s Quantum Computing Environment to its Standard Machines
Access to Cloud Simulator for No Extra Charge Begins; Access to Actual Hardware to Expand Progressively
Fixstars Amplify Corporation (President and CEO: Yoshiki Matsuda) is pleased to announce the addition of the IonQ quantum simulator, provided by IonQ, Inc. (hereinafter “IonQ”), as a standard machine for its optimization cloud service “Fixstars Amplify” (hereinafter “Amplify”). This partnership enables users to research and develop quantum optimization algorithms using both the actual quantum computers and simulators provided by IonQ through Amplify’s cloud environment. The simulator is available at no extra cost for Amplify account owners starting today, and access to the actual hardware is scheduled to be offered as a paid plan in the future.
About IonQ’s Quantum Computers
IonQ’s trapped-ion quantum computers achieve high scalability through proprietary qubit control technology, boasting an extremely high 2-qubit gate fidelity[1] of 99.99%. Furthermore, they feature an “all-to-all connectivity architecture” where all qubits can interact directly with each other, dramatically improving the quality of solutions when executing complex optimization algorithms. Through this, the company has achieved an industry-leading milestone with an Algorithmic Qubit (#AQ) score of 64.
How to Use IonQ’s Quantum Computing Environment
By using the “Fixstars Amplify SDK,” a development library that uniformly handles combinatorial optimization problems, and “Amplify Quantum,” an extension that supports quantum optimization algorithms, users can easily execute various quantum optimization algorithms using IonQ’s quantum computers (*).
Users who already have an Amplify account can obtain an access token for the IonQ environment by submitting an application from the “Access Token” screen on their My Page. The cloud-based IonQ simulator is available for free starting today. Furthermore, access rights to the actual quantum computer hardware will be progressively provided under paid plans.
* Requires Amplify Quantum version 1.2 or higher.
About Fixstars Amplify Corporation
Fixstars Amplify provides an “optimization cloud service” that tackles complex societal challenges by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as quantum, AI, and GPUs. Under the vision of “With cutting-edge technology, the optimal answer. Making society smarter,” the company develops and provides the “Fixstars Amplify SDK,” which handles diverse solvers including quantum gates and quantum annealing uniformly, and its own high-performance solver, “Fixstars Amplify AE/SE.” The number of registered organizations has exceeded 1,200, and the cumulative execution count has surpassed 140 million (as of June 3, 2026), powerfully driving social implementation across a wide range of fields.
[1] Fidelity
An indicator in quantum computing that shows “how accurate” the operation of qubits or calculation results are compared to an ideal (error-free) state. The maximum value is 1 (or 100%), and a higher number means less noise and error, indicating higher calculation accuracy. This is a critical performance evaluation standard for realizing practical quantum computers.
